One Hundred Dollar Super Bowl Ads For Small Businesses? That Would Save You $2,999,900.00!

What’s the matter, spending $3,000,000 for a commercial to air during Super Bowl XLIII sound a little too steep for you?

How’s a measly $100 sound?

Yesterday, a new website, HundredDollarSuperBowlAd.com launched and plans on dropping $300,000.00 from the sky during Super Bowl XLIII.

Where’s the $300,000 going to come from?  It’ll come from the money generated from selling a TON of $100 ad spots on their website.

To advertise your business, all you need to do is select your state, city, click on an open ad spot, pay your $100 bucks and send them in image you’d like displayed along with your URL.

It sure is a WhackedOut Marketing idea that puts a spin on the whole Million Dollar Home Page craze awhile back… But will it work?  Let’s dig into this One Hundred Dollar Super Bowl Ad idea a little more… Continue Reading »

How To Perform A “Digital Whack Job” And Drive More Traffic To Your Blog Or Website.

If you found another blog or website that stole an image (or several of them) from you and they’re using the images (which are being hosted on YOUR server) on their blog or site right now, here’s how to perform a Digital Whack Job on them.

First, a little background… This idea was inspired by a recent post I wrote called, “Attention Fellow Bloggers: People May Be Stealing From You!“, and the comment posted by Erum.  Basically, someone just copied an image from my site and posted it on their blog.  The image is still linked to my site, so I’m basically hosting the image for them and it’s eating some of my bandwidth.

Yesterday Erum made a comment on the above post and said:

“Pssst don’t just change the image name. Replace it with one that says ‘This image is stolen’.”

What a great idea Erum!  I jumped on it this morning.  Below are the images that I created, Continue Reading »

HitTail: Real-Time Traffic, Long Tail Keywords.

HitTail just sent me an email this morning with a few announcements.  Here they are as per the e-mail they sent me:

HitTail launches new feature:

HitTailAutomatically Post to TypePad or Blogger from HitTail Plus and Premium.

HitTail Plus and Premium users who have been using HitTail suggestions to target natural search results through blogging will now have an easier time ranking on the first page of search results. Simply identify the terms you think would make good blog posts, go to the To-Do tab of the HitTail interface, and immediately write and publish your post live on your blog without leaving the HitTail site.

The last days of new HitTail Basic sign-ups

As of August 5th we will no longer offer HitTail Basic (free service) to new users. Current HitTail users have nothing to worry about - we appreciate your support and you will not be affected by this change. With just five days left for bloggers and webmasters to sign up a new site for our free level of HitTail service, feel free to spread the word.

HitTail Affiliate program - Ready for beta testers

HitTail is officially ready to begin testing its affiliate marketing program with beta testers.

What is “HitTail”?

According to HitTail’s website, “HitTail Plus is designed for users who are dedicated to improving their search campaign, and is ideal for e-commerce sites, small business sites, and blogs that are generating revenue through advertising. This version is a perfect complement to more robust, but ultimately complex analytics programs.  Our latest offering, HitTail Premium maintains the feature set of HitTail Plus while giving users the added ability to efficiently launch Google AdWords campaigns directly from the HitTail interface.”

What Others Are Saying About HitTail…

“HitTail is an absolutely essential site and service for anyone who has their own website or store; one that allows you to easily see just exactly which terms buyers use to find you.”

- Michael Donahue

“I am getting a sense that following the suggestions leads to dominance of the conceptual space. This is, I think, the promise that HitTail delivers.”

“HitTail is a beacon — it gives you direction.”

- David Stockwell (Niche Modeling)

“My HitTail campaigns blow away my other campaigns in all aspects of performance, most importantly financially.”

- Gary Beal (GaryTheScubaGuy)

“This could be the killer SEO app of the year!”

- Donna Fontenot (SEO Scoop)

“If you do one thing to your website this year then follow up on the information in this post. Routine content addition based on long tail mining is not yet mainstream but by starting now, before your competitors do, you will gain a significant advantage.”

- Michael Duz (SEO Blog)

“You never know how a person is going to find your site but HitTail has taught me so many things I never would have thought of, that I check it everyday for new ideas and phrases now.”

- Todd Strait
